The only requirement for the kids is studying hard on the school courses. Because in China, the higher the grade is, the more wonderful chance will be presented for them to be admitted by the famous university. They do believed their behaviors are good for the children . For in China, a competitive society, only the man who has the highest grades will have a bright future. Chinese parents also hold that if the child can obtain the big success in the society, they will receive others’ respect correspondingly. As a result, they are willing to sacrifice their own time, hobbies and interests to create the better conditions for their children.

　　Annual Chinese speech contest for foreigners was held in Changsha this year. The contest was proved to be a good method of promoting cultural communication between China and other parts of the world. It provided an opportunity for young people from all over the world to better understand China. A total o 126 competitors from 87 countries gathered in the capital of Hunan province to attend the semi-finals and the finals from July 6th to August 5th. The competitors had a chance to visit the famous scenic spots and historical sites in other parts of China as well.
