　　Weare often told not to judge people by theirappearance, because for a person,abilities are far more important thanappearance. Throughout history, there arenumerous examples of outstandingpeople with remarkable achievements who arejust plain or not good-looking atall.
　　However,nowadays some people hold the beliefthat appearance outweighs abilities,partly because some beautiful people seemto have advantages in competitivesituations like job interviews and have beengiven more opportunities thanothers.

Eventually, it isthe abilities that help people succeed,so it is safe to say that abilitieswill always bring more to life than goodlooks.

As acommon saying goes， “It is unwise to putall eggs in one basket. ”Placing all eggs in one basket meansfocus all our attention on one thing and fix all our hope on one thing.However, It is wrong and reasonless.

Whyplacing all eggs in one basket is wrong ? Placing all eggs in one basket tendsto reduce the odds of success. By focusing on one thing , people will surelyimprove their efficiency and proficiency. However, they will also overlookother resources and possibilities，thus，thelikelihood of success will be lower. Take Jack, one of my best friends, as acase in point: he started to hunt for jobs in his senior year. Compared withother students who chose different kinds of jobs, he aimed at state-owned firmsalone. Unfortunately, getting a decent job in state-owned firms is really hardfor him. At last, when others got ajob, he was still on the way to his interviews. suppose he choose jobs in awider range and “place all eggs in different baskets”， he couldhave gotten a job much easier. Putting all eggs in one basket in unwise, atruth which is applicable to many situations.

As acollege student，we should endeavor to master more skills,accumulate different experience and make friends with diverse people.

Living in an age when the adolescents arelack of the necessary guidance and supervision, we can never fail to figure outthe fact that teenagers are become especially self-conscious. Under thiscircumstance, the youngsters are more likely to believe in what they havelistened or seen instead of thinking twice before drawing their conclusions,which is pathetically and undoubtedly considered controversial or evenunreasonable.

　　The reasons why I insist on the viewpointthat we should never directly and irresponsibly come to conclusions only bylistening or seeing mainly lie in the following two aspects. To begin with, itis a invariable law to every existence in the world that nothing will staystill even for just one second.So are the things happening around us. What wesee or listen may be just some particular period of the development of things,which proves unstable and changeable. In addition, the perspectives we concludejust through seeing or listening are usually one-sided. Drawing conclusionsrashly is not objective enough to make our statements persuasive.

　　To sum up, it is unwise for us to defineany thing as what we assume or imagine at first sight. Only by our seriousthinking and accurate analyzing can we come up with more rational andreasonable conclusions.
